On June 1, 2013 Gur Sweets Bakery introduced Croughnuts (a fusion of croissant & donut) for sampling and was well received by Chicagoans. The official launch was on June 15, 2013 at 7Am and within 2 hours sold out. It’s been selling out by 10Am since then. We are working to increase the supply. Gur Sweets Bakery is known to be the best in fusion baked goods and recently been featured on Good Morning America, ABC7, NBC TV, Chicago Tribune, Zagat, Dinning Chicago, Chicago Reader, Wttw, Huffington Post, Eater, Elmhurst Patch and several other media outlets. On July 1, 2013 we changed the name to “Gurnuts” to give the pastry a title as unique as our recipe. | |
